These carriers are intended to transport weapons, military equipment and materiel in harsh road and climatic conditions. Vityaz (knight) vehicles represent a unified family of tracked two-unit carriers DT-10P (10-t load-carrying capacity) and DT-30P (30-t load-carrying capacity). The two-unit carriers are incorporated in a basically new category of high-speed transport facilities — articulated tracked vehicles combining high loadcarrying capacity with high cross-country ability and maneuverability in harsh road and climatic conditions.
