130mm AK-130-MR-184 UNIVERSAL AUTOMATED SHIPBORNE ARTILLERY SYSTEMThis artillery system is intended to engage coastal, sea and air targets. The basic components of the artillery system are: ![]() Within the ammunition range, the system is capable of ensuring: - shelling of shore sectors, docking and other coastal facilities, fortified points during amphibious landing operations of naval forces; The system features:
- the 130mm automatic gun and ammunition incorporating a new ballistics approach; - a two-band radar control system and use of TV and optical means for standby fire control; - increased accuracy, jamming immunity, combat survivability and operational characteristics compared to inservice weapon items; - engagement of various targets (including small and high-speed targets) in a complicated situation; - laying and fire control of the gun mount in different modes: automatic remote control from the radar control system, autonomous control from the turret-mounted Kondensor sighting equipment and manual laying during daily maintenance. This turreted gun mount is fitted with two automatic guns and fuze setters, monoblock barrels with casings and pneumatic recuperators, vertically sliding wedge breechblocks with synchronized trigger mechanisms, springloaded rammers and hydraulic recoil brakes. The barrels are continuously cooled by pumping liquid coolant between the casing and the barrel. First loading is done by hydraulic charging. Ammunition feed ensures a practical rate of fire virtually equal to the cyclic rate. The gun mount is remotely laid by electric drives. The control system ensures fire adjustment and effective engagement of targets within the range of the weapon system, as well as crew drills. The gun mount rate of fire is adjustable from single shots or salvoes to bursts. ![]() The artillery system is installed on Projects 956 and other ships. Basic Characteristics
